Folder Hierarchy in Home View

I've been considering using essay as a note-taking app, as I've thought it might be worthwhile to integrate good writing into the different aspects of my daily life. However, I can't do this properly with the file manager as it currently is.
So, it would be useful if we had a more hierarchical folder management system in home view, where you could create sub-folders within folders, and so on - like window's File Explorer, or apple's Finder. This could give more granularity to the organization of the different things one could write about.
